Coach Daniel Cox
I am new to Dawson this year and I will be teaching statistics. I love water sports! I started swimming when I was 8 years old and became a USA swimmer at the age of 15. I was a varsity swimmer all four years of high school, competing in distance events: 200 free and 500 free. During my senior year our team went to State and we took 2nd place. I have played water polo for over 14 years. I began my water polo career at Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. After high school I played at Whittier College in California, where I was named Captain. I coached for Thunder Water Polo Club in Dallas, Texas from 2009 - 2017. During this time I was also the coach for the Southlake Carroll High School team in 2012 as well as the ODP (Olympic Development Program) men's coach in 2011 & 2012. Currently, I am one of the coaches for the Southside Water Polo Club coach in Pearland, Texas.
Earlier this year, I married the love of my life, who is also a water polo coach. We live close to Pearland with our four dogs: an Austrian shepherd, a yellow lab, a white golden retriever, and a great dane.
